WALNUT TIMBER FINISH | Exterior Timber Oil | Exterior Wood Stain
Description: WALNUT TIMBER FINISH
Preschem’s WALNUT TIMBER FINISH is the first in the AUSSIE TIMBER FINISH range. It contains oils and water repellents to
provide timber nourishment plus a colour stain which also provides excellent UV protection. WALNUT TIMBER FINISH stabilises timber and repels moisture, reducing checking and splitting. When applied correctly, no film is allowed to form, so peeling and cracking is never a problem. Unsightly mould growth is inhibited by a powerful mouldicide. the product is designed for all Hardwoods and Softwoods.
WALNUT TIMBER FINISH can be used wherever a non-transparent protective exterior stain is required. WALNUT TIMBER FINISH will turn blond timbes into a pleasing walnut brown colour, while enriching and deepening mid to dark toned wood. Suitable applications are: Decks, cladding, fencing, fascia, exterior doors, window frames or furniture that are fully exposed to the weather. We recommend sampling the colour on a small section prior to full application.
Directions for Use
Ensure a clean dry surface, free from grease, dirt and weathering. Apply GREY DECK CLEANER to weathered timber to prepare it. Badly weathered timber may require a light sand beforehand. If a paint or varnish has been previously applied, sand back the clean bare timber first.
Stir Well Before use as pigments may settle. Apply with a lambswool applicator, brush, roller or spray. On dressed timber, you can control the depth of colour somwhat by the ammount applied. Wiping the timber afterwoods will lighten it. Any excess WALNUT TIMBER FINISH that hasn’t been absorbed after 1-2 hours needs to be wiped off to prevent it forming a film. If another application is required, then apply after 24 hours and allow 24 hours drying before use.
DO NOT APPLY LATE IN THE DAY WHEN OVERNIGHT CONDENSATION OR IF RAIN IS EXPECTED WITHIN 24 HOURS.
If the timber looks dry or the colour has faded, clean with GREY DECK CLEANER, allow to dry then apply another coat.
Approximately 12m2 per litre on dressed hardwod timber and 8m2 on rough sawn or treated pine. Often, staind will be stronger in colour on rough sawn timber than dressed.
Cleanup with mineral turps.
